Dream Planner
The DreamPlanner Awareness Session, hosted by IEEE LETstalk in collaboration with The Markers, introduced participants to DreamPlanner—a mentoring and guidance platform developed by The Markers. The session began with an overview of the importance of mentorship in achieving long-term goals, followed by a comprehensive walkthrough of the DreamPlanner platform. Participants were guided on how to create their profiles, explore available mentors based on career interests and goals, and book time slots for one-on-one mentoring sessions. In addition, the session covered how to communicate effectively with mentors, set realistic goals, and track personal development progress using the platform’s features. The interactive nature of the session allowed attendees to clarify their doubts, understand the benefits of using a formal mentorship platform, and feel empowered to take initiative in shaping their futures. Overall, the session emphasized the value of having a reliable support system and offered a practical roadmap to leverage mentoring for continuous growth and self-improvement.

A very informative session on effectively utilizing the DreamPlanner mentoring platform. The session provided participants with a step-by-step guide on how to create profiles, connect with mentors, book sessions, and plan their personal and professional growth through structured mentorship. It also emphasized the long-term benefits of goal-setting and continuous guidance.
Biography:
Nevindaree (Nevi) Premarathne is a Sri Lankan tech entrepreneur and ecosystem builder, currently serving as the Founder and CEO of The Makers Global, an ed-tech and startup support platform empowering youth through mentorship, innovation, and STEM education. She is also the Senior Manager of Startup Ecosystem Development at ICTA Sri Lanka, where she plays a key role in national policy and startup growth initiatives. With a BSc in Software Engineering from the University of Westminster and a Master’s in Business Management from the University of Colombo, Nevi is also a certified Project Management Professional (PMP). Her work has gained international recognition through programs such as the GIST Global Innovation through Science and Technology initiative, and she is an Eisenhower Fellow. Nevi is also known for championing women in STEM and startups, and has been featured by platforms like UN Women Sri Lanka and Ada Derana. Outside her professional life, she is a passionate traveler, martial arts enthusiast, and nature lover.
