HackVerse 2025 was conducted on the occasion of IEEE Day 2025 by the IEEE Information Theory Society Student Branch Chapter, DSU.

Roobini Ganesan
Introduction to IEEE and Its Benefits
Ms. Roobini Ganesan delivered an engaging session introducing students to IEEE, highlighting the benefits of becoming a member, and the opportunities IEEE provides in professional networking, leadership development, and global exposure. She also shared her experiences with IEEE Bangalore Section, IEEE Women in Engineering, and IEEE Young Professionals, motivating juniors to actively participate in the IEEE community.
Biography:
Ms. Roobini Ganesan is a passionate IEEE volunteer and tech professional currently serving as Organizer and Host Speaker at Sppyk Talks. With expertise in low-code development, software analysis, and marketing strategy, she has contributed to IEEE Bangalore Section, IEEE Women in Engineering, and IEEE Young Professionals. Her session inspired students to explore IEEE membership and its global opportunities for growth and leadership.

Arun Balodi
IEEE Membership Guidance and Hackathon Address
Dr. Arun Balodi delivered the inaugural address for HackVerse 2025, emphasizing the importance of innovation, interdisciplinary collaboration, and research-driven development in engineering. He motivated students to explore problem-solving through technology and shared insights from his journey as an academician and researcher.
Biography:
Dr. Arun Balodi is Chairman and Professor at the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Dayananda Sagar University, Bangalore. With over 15 years of teaching and research experience, he holds a Ph.D. from IIT Roorkee, M.Tech (Gold Medalist) in Digital Signal Processing, and B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering. A Senior Member of IEEE, Fellow of IETE, and Life Member of ISTE, his research interests include Biomedical Signal and Image Processing, Artificial Intelligence, and Machine Learning. He has 25+ publications, 3 patents, and numerous awards for academic and research excellence.
