CED - MCCs, PLCs and VFDs Presentation
MCCs, PLCs, and VFDs - CED Lexington
We will be presenting the typical offering and fundamental differences of Motor Control Centers (MCC’s) and Motor Control Panels (MCP’s).
Representing two different methods of power and control implementation. Items covered will be: Design of UL845 Motor Control Centers,
Rockwell Automation’s MCC specific features and benefits (Intellicenter- networked MCC’s, Secure Connect, E300 overload relays,
Powerflex series VFD’s) and review of MCC drawing packages. Additionally, the presentation will include Rockwell components in
Motor Control Panels including Rockwell Powerflex 755 & 535 VFD’s, the new M100 contactors along with PLC basics (truth tables, ladder logic),
VFD parameters and implementation.
Topics will be:
- MCC overview
- Rockwell MCC features
- Preliminary MCC drawing packages
- MCC network topology overview
- MCC network diagrams
- MCC FVNR overload options
- Detailed MCC drawing review including elevations, unit options, unit schematics/wiring diagrams
- MCP control components
- PLC overview – truth tables, ladder logic
- VFD overview, Connected Components Workbench, VFD parameter discussion
