Ride Wise, Stay Safe – Traffic Safety Bootcamp
The Ride Wise, Stay Safe – Traffic Safety Bootcamp Celebrating IEEE DAY 2025 was successfully organized by the IEEE Computer Society Student Branch Chapter of SBJITMR. The event was hosted by Team Triguna in association with Aavas Financiers Ltd.
The primary objective of the event was to create awareness about road safety and educate the girl students of SBJITMR on essential traffic rules and responsible driving practices. The initiative aimed to encourage safe commuting habits and highlight the importance of adhering to traffic regulations.
As part of this awareness drive, free helmets were distributed to all participants, reinforcing the message of personal safety and the significance of wearing helmets while riding two-wheelers.
The event was graced by officials from Team Triguna, representatives of Aavas Financiers Ltd., and dignitaries from the Nagpur Traffic Police Department, whose insightful addresses emphasized real-world safety measures, the role of enforcement, and community participation in ensuring road safety.
Dr. S.L. Badjate, Principal of SBJITMR, along with the Heads of Departments, also attended the event and appreciated the collective effort of IEEE CS S.B Jain Chapter and Team Triguna in promoting civic awareness and student welfare through such meaningful initiatives.
The session concluded with an interactive discussion where students enthusiastically engaged with the officials, gaining valuable knowledge about traffic laws, safety practices, and preventive measures to avoid road accidents.
Overall, the Ride Wise, Stay Safe – Traffic Safety Bootcamp was a resounding success, effectively achieving its goal of spreading traffic safety awareness and empowering students to become responsible citizens on the road.
