Event: T-Hacks 8.0 – 16-hour hackathon

Organized by: IEEE ADGIPS Student Branch


T-Hacks 8.0 brought together students from diverse disciplines to ideate, prototype and present projects addressing cutting-edge themes in technology and innovation. With a three-round structure (online and offline) and a wide range of themes, the hackathon fostered teamwork, creative problem-solving, and hands-on execution.

  • Total individual registrations: 871

  • Total teams registered: approx. 215

  • Total projects submitted: 140

  • Round 0 (online PPT round) → 55 teams progressed to Round 1

  • Round 1 (offline internal round at ADGIPS) → 20 teams progressed to Round 2

  • Round 2 (offline finale at ADGIPS) → Final 20 teams

Event Structure

Round 0 (Online PPT Round):
Participants submitted a presentation outlining their project concept and plan. This enabled the judges to filter and select teams for the next round.

Round 1 (Offline Internal Round at ADGIPS):
Selected teams presented and demonstrated their working prototypes or more developed concepts in-person on campus. Based on evaluation criteria, top teams advanced to the final phase.

Round 2 (Offline Final Round at ADGIPS):
Finalist teams showcased fully developed projects aligning with the hackathon themes. They demonstrated the prototypes, pitched value propositions, and answered queries from a judging panel.




Themes

The hackathon invited innovative solutions in the following thematic areas:

  • Web3

  • Blockchain

  • Generative AI (Gen AI)

  • Fintech

  • Edtech

  • Healthcare

  • Open Innovation

These themes were selected to reflect current and emerging technological frontiers, enabling participants to work on socially relevant and future-oriented challenges.

  • 1st Place: Team Panner Tikka

  • 2nd Place: Team Triobron

  • 3rd Place: Team Ajax

  • Special mentions: Team Lumina (for best development)

                                      Team Eagle v2 (for best UI and Idea)

Agenda

  1. To foster innovation and entrepreneurial thinking among students through real-world problem statements.

  2. To provide a platform for cross-disciplinary teams to collaborate and build working prototypes.

  3. To give participants exposure to emerging technologies (Web3, Blockchain, Gen AI etc.) and accelerate their practical learning.

  4. To promote competitive spirit, teamwork, and presentation/communication skills in a hackathon setting.



T-Hacks 8.0 was a resounding success. It provided a vibrant platform for innovation, collaboration, and learning. The structure of three rounds allowed participants to progress meaningfully from concept to prototype.
