December Section Meeting
This meeting will be held at the Voice of America Museum in West Chester.
Volunteers are lovingly and expertly are crafting new exhibits and experiences to interpret the history of the Voice of America at Bethany Relay Station. Some volunteers were part of the Bethany Station when it was operational and can relate personal stories and experiences. The Main exhibits at the Museum deal with the history of the Bethany Station and the Voice of America.
There are also two new exhibits:
Powel Crosley and the Voice of America (Made possible in part by a grant from the W. E. Smith Family Charitable Trust)
The question of why the Voice of America Bethany Relay Station was constructed on a hill top outside of Cincinnati can be answered in two words - Powel Crosley.
Radio Lab - From Greeks to Geeks (Made possible in part by a grant from the Charles H. Dater Foundation)
Registration:
The system is available if the text "Click Here to Register" is displayed in large red letters on a yellow background below. After selecting "Click here to Register", select "Register and pay the fee..." if you wish to attend the dinner at 6:00pm, or select "Register only (skip optional fee)" if you only wish to attend the presentation at 6:45pm. Your selection will help us determine how much pizza to purchase.
DINNER RESERVATIONS Members: $15.00, Non-members: $20.00.
Members: Please enter your IEEE Membership number when registering. Please enter only the digits. Experienced members might have to add leading zeros to properly enter their membership number. Use the Drop-down box on the Registration page to select Member or Non-member Dinner. The system will not allow you to select Member Dinner if you have entered the wrong IEEE Membership number or if you have typed anything other than the digits.
Reservations close on December 6. WALK-INS (those without reservations): Walk-ins are always welcome, but we request that you please register in advance so we know how much food and drinks to provide. DINNER RESERVATION CANCELLATION POLICY An email to Reservations@ieeecincinnati.org prior to the close of reservations is requested to cancel your reservation.
