IEEE Student Branch of Sri Sai Ram Institute of Technology successfully organized VisionX: Ideas Beyond Imagination, a student-centric paper presentation event under the theme “Empowering Communities Through Engineering.”
The event aimed to provide a professional platform for students to present innovative engineering ideas addressing real-world societal challenges.

Conducted in offline mode on 10th November 2025, the event witnessed participation from 13 interdisciplinary teams (39 students) representing Sri Sairam Engineering College and Sri Sai Ram Institute of Technology. The ideas presented focused on community welfare, sustainability, smart systems, assistive technologies, and emerging engineering solutions.

Participants demonstrated creativity, technical understanding, and social responsibility through structured presentations evaluated by experienced faculty jury members. The event fostered innovation, critical thinking, and collaborative learning while aligning with IEEE’s mission of advancing technology for humanity.

Dr. R. Prabhavathi, Associate Professor from the Department of IT, served as the jury member.
She evaluated the presentations based on innovation, clarity, feasibility, societal relevance,
and presentation quality. Her constructive feedback guided the teams on how to refine their
concepts and identify potential improvements for future development.

Biography:

She is a passionate educator and lifelong learner with over 10.5 years of teaching experience in undergraduate education. She holds an M.E. in Multimedia Technology and is currently pursuing her Ph.D., driven by a strong interest in Machine Learning and its real-world applications. At present, she serves as an Assistant Professor at Sri Sairam Institute of Technology, after gaining valuable experience at SRM University and Jerusalem College of Engineering.

Known for her student-friendly approach and dedication to continuous learning, she actively participates in academic development programs. She has attended numerous workshops, FDPs, and conferences, both national and international, and has also taken the initiative to organize several academic events. Her research contributions include journal publications, conference papers, and a published book.

She is a member of professional bodies such as IEEE, ISTE, and IAENG, reflecting her commitment to staying connected with the academic and research community while inspiring students through knowledge, guidance, and innovation.

Biography:

N. Shanthi is an Assistant Professor specializing in Power Electronics and Drives. She holds an M.E., M.B.A., and is pursuing a Ph.D., with 16 years of undergraduate teaching experience. Her research interest is in Power Electronics. She has attended 5 workshops, 5 conferences, and 15 FDPs, and has organized 3 workshops, contributing actively to academic development and professional learning.
