EMBS WEEK 2025
EMBS Week 2025, held between October 6th and 10th, was an intense week of immersion in technology and health at UFRN. The program featured four days of content-rich activities, bringing renowned speakers such as Ricardo Valentim, discussing Health 4.0; Nathalia de Medeiros, focusing on bioinformatics and genetics; Jorge Estefano, addressing computational technologies in the clinic; and Tiago Barreto, exploring the use of AI in academic materials. The event also expanded its reach with online participation from Mariana Brandão, on entrepreneurship, and Inês Domingues, discussing AI in oncological diagnosis.
In addition to the lectures, the week prioritized the technical training of participants through practical mini-courses on Arduino and GitHub. The activities concluded on October 10th with a get-together featuring refreshments, where we took the opportunity to welcome new volunteers and encourage them to pursue their IEEE memberships, thus strengthening the academic community and the student chapter.
