Topic:

When Not to Predict: Building AI Systems That Know Their Limits

Most AI failures don’t happen because models are wrong — they happen because models speak when they shouldn’t. This talk explores uncertainty-aware AI systems that can refuse to answer, escalate to humans, or defer decisions. We’ll look at confidence calibration, fallback strategies, and real-world cases where silence is safer than prediction.
