Ayda Nasiri

Biography:

Ayda has been an active IEEE member since 2017 and currently serves as the Vice Chair of
IEEE Women in Engineering Toronto. In this role, she has led impactful technical events,
fostered cross-chapter collaboration, and helped grow meaningful engagement within the IEEE
community.
She holds a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng) in Industrial Engineering from Toronto
Metropolitan University, with a minor in Entrepreneurship and Innovation. She is currently
a faculty member and instructor in the Business Administration program at Tyndale
University, where she teaches business strategy, innovation, and leadership.
Aida is also the co-founder of Veebar Tech, a Toronto-based technology company focused on
Smart technologies, AI integration, automation, and product prototyping. She brings to
this role a strong mix of business and technical expertise. Through her work with Veebar
Tech, she operates at the intersection of technology, product development, and
commercialization while also building strategic partnerships and business models. This
combination allows her to bridge technical innovation with real-world execution.

Dalia Hanna

Biography:

Dr. Dalia Hanna serves as the Program Chair of the Bachelor’s and Doctoral programs in Information Technology, Data Science, and Computer Science within the College of Technology and Engineering (COTE) at Westcliff University.

An accomplished academic and technology leader, Dr. Hanna brings more than 30 years of experience spanning higher education, business, and information technology. Throughout her career, she has held senior leadership positions, including Program Director and Associate Dean, and has led initiatives in academic innovation, curriculum development, and quality assurance.

She earned a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Toronto Metropolitan University, Canada; a Master of Science in Instructional Design and Technology from Walden University, United States; and a Bachelor of Science in Electronics and Communications Engineering from Cairo University, Egypt. She is a licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario and holds several professional certifications, including Project Management Professional (PMP®), Prosci® Change Practitioner, and ISO 9000 Internal Auditor. She also completed the Certificate in Education Leadership program at the Harvard Graduate School of Education.

Her research and scholarly interests span multiple disciplines, including project management, data analytics, and the development of algorithms for locating missing persons using drone technology. An award-winning scholar, she has presented and published her research at national and international conferences.
