The IEEE WIE Affinity Group proposes to organize a “Women Hackathon – Coding Challenge for Real-World Problem Solving” aimed at encouraging women students to develop innovative technological solutions. This one-day event will provide a competitive and collaborative platform for participants to work on real-world problem statements.

The hackathon will bring together teams of women students to ideate, design, and implement solutions using modern technologies. Participants will be guided through mentorship and evaluation by experienced judges, ensuring both learning and competitive exposure.

The event focuses on enhancing coding skills, teamwork, problem-solving abilities, and innovation among participants. It will also provide exposure to industry-level challenges and evaluation processes, helping students understand real-world expectations.

Special emphasis will be placed on increasing the participation of women in hackathons and technical competitions, thereby promoting diversity and inclusion in engineering. The event will include prizes, certificates, and recognition to motivate participants.

This initiative aligns with IEEE WIE’s mission to empower women in engineering by providing opportunities for technical growth, leadership, and innovation.
