Prof. N. Usha Rani
Professor, Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering
Prof. N. Usha Rani is a Professor in the Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering with over 25 years of teaching and research experience. She received her Ph.D. in Medical Imaging from JNTU Anantapur in 2013, M.Tech. in Digital Systems & Computer Electronics in 2004, and B.E. in Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering from KITS, Warangal, in 1993.
Her major research interests include Medical Imaging, Signal and Image Processing, Digital Circuits, VLSI, FPGA Implementation, Artificial Intelligence, and Autonomous Systems. She has supervised 24 M.Tech. theses and 12 Ph.D. scholars, and has published more than 70 research papers in reputed journals and conferences. She is also a co-Principal Investigator of the Deep Spectral Signature System (DS3) project sponsored by AR&DB with a sanctioned value of ₹11.29 crore.
Prof. Usha Rani has handled several academic and administrative responsibilities, including School Dean, Dean–Training & Placement, Head of the Department of ECE, Research Forum Coordinator, NBA/NAAC Coordinator, and Board of Studies Member. She is the Chairperson of the Internal Complaints Committee and Women Protection Cell.
She is a Life Member of the Biomedical Engineering Society and Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE), and a member of IEEE and IEEE Women in Engineering (WIE). She is also the Founder and COO of Vayuveda Innovative Tech Pvt. Ltd., working on technology solutions integrating UAVs, AI, IoT, GIS, and precision agriculture and aquaculture.
