IEEE Day 2026 is proposed to be celebrated by the IEEE SIRCRRCOE Student Branch on 12th and 13th October 2026 under the theme “Leveraging Technology for a Better Tomorrow.” The event aims to create awareness about IEEE, its activities, technical opportunities, and the importance of technological advancements among students. The first day will feature technical events under SPS, SC, PES, and CS, along with the IEEE Xtreme 20.0 poster release and promotional activities to encourage student participation. The second day will include an inauguration ceremony, a cultural performance, a presentation on the journey of the IEEE SIRCRRCOE Student Branch, addresses by college authorities and faculty advisors, guest felicitation, and a keynote session. Non-technical activities such as Make a Reel and Rapid Fire are also planned. E-certificates will be provided to participants, while winners may receive gifts or physical certificates. The celebration aims to promote IEEE membership, innovation, technical learning, creativity, collaboration, and awareness of IEEE's role in empowering students for a better tomorrow.

IEEE DAY 2026 – EVENT REPORT

Theme: “Leveraging Technology for a Better Tomorrow”

The IEEE Student Branch of Sir C. R. Reddy College of Engineering, Vatluru, Andhra Pradesh, organized a series of technical events on 12 October 2026, followed by the main IEEE Day celebration on 13 October 2026, to promote technical knowledge, innovation, teamwork, and professional development among students.

Technical Events – 12 October 2026

1. Ideathon – Innovation in Emerging Technologies

The Ideathon focused on Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), Data Science, and emerging technologies. Teams of three members were encouraged to identify real-world challenges and propose innovative, technology-driven solutions. Participants presented their problem statements, proposed solutions, technical approaches, and potential impact. Working prototypes and proofs of concept were encouraged to demonstrate feasibility and innovation. Each team was required to include at least one female member.

2. ElectroEscape – Electrical Engineering Challenge

ElectroEscape was an interactive, team-based technical competition focused on electrical circuits, measurements, electrical machines, power systems, and protection. Teams of three to four members tackled multiple stages involving circuit identification, fault finding, transformer-related problems, protection schemes, power system puzzles, electrical machine challenges, and practical wiring activities. The event tested participants’ technical knowledge, logical reasoning, troubleshooting abilities, teamwork, and time management.

3. Cyber Heist – Digital Logic Challenge

Cyber Heist was a software-based technical competition designed as a cybersecurity-themed escape-room experience. Participants solved progressive digital logic puzzles involving logic gates, Boolean expressions, and truth tables. Each correct solution unlocked the next level through a generated code or password, with increasing difficulty and a final challenge combining clues from earlier stages. The website-based platform incorporated features such as a live timer, automatic answer validation, score calculation, progress tracking, a leaderboard, and result export. The event encouraged logical thinking, digital electronics knowledge, and problem-solving skills without requiring physical hardware.

Main IEEE Day Celebration – 13 October 2026

The main IEEE Day celebration was organized under the theme “Leveraging Technology for a Better Tomorrow.” The celebration highlighted IEEE’s global community, its contribution to technological advancement, and its role in fostering innovation, collaboration, and professional growth.

The event brought students together to celebrate the spirit of IEEE, recognize the importance of technical societies, encourage active participation in professional activities, and inspire students to contribute to technological progress.

Outcomes

The technical events provided students with opportunities to apply engineering concepts, develop innovative ideas, strengthen analytical and practical problem-solving skills, and collaborate in teams. The main IEEE Day celebration reinforced the values of innovation, knowledge sharing, leadership, and professional engagement within the IEEE Student Branch.

Overall, the two-day program reflected the IEEE Student Branch’s commitment to promoting technical excellence, interdisciplinary learning, and student engagement in alignment with the theme “Leveraging Technology for a Better Tomorrow.
