UNIVERSIDAD PRIVADA BOLIVIANA 25TH ANIVERSARY
The Universidad Privada Boliviana (UPB) celebrated its silver jubilee at an evening held at the convention center of the Achocalla campus in La Paz, with more than 500 guests. Those present enjoyed a contemporary dance show and the Bolivia Symphonic Choir UPB. The circumstance was used to present the new song of the University, entitled "Against Tide". Executives from the University of La Paz and Cochabamba, entrepreneurs, graduates, alumni and all the guests shared a fine cocktail, with various drinks, snacks and other delicacies. During the event the rector of the house of studies, Manuel Olave, presented his book "Universidad Privada Boliviana: 25 years of strategic management". At the event, the new name of the UPB Campus in La Paz, "Fernando Illanes" was announced, and that of the Obrajes postgraduate building "Manuel Olave Sarmiento".The IEEE Bolivia Section Chair was invited, and gave a recognition for all contribution that the Universidad Privada Boliviana Student Branch made for IEEE Bolivia.
