Officer Leadership Training - South Area

THE 2019 IEEE SOUTH AREA LEADERSHIP TRAINING WORKSHOP
February 9, 2019; 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM (networking and lunch starting at 11:30AM)
This seminar will teach new and prospective IEEE leaders the practices, policies, and tools used to organize events, run meetings, and take on a greater leadership role. The focus is on the nuts-and-bolts of running activites. The workshop will conclude with a hands-on session.
Among the topics covered are:
* Overview of the IEEE and Region 2
* Core responsibilities of section and chapter officer positions: Chair, Vice-Chair, Treasurer, and Secretary
* Tools and techniques for running an effective Chapter
* Parliamentary procedures
* Financial management
* Tools and resources
The event will take place at the Vienna Community Center (see address below). We will start the event with lunch and networking. Coffee, tea and snacks will be served in the afternoon, during the break.

If we reach maximum number of registrations and you are not able to register, please send an email to the organizer. We might be able to negotiate with the facility’s management to add more seats but without tables. Thank you for your understanding.
