GULLEN RANGE WIND AND SOLAR FARM FIELD TRIP
IEEE PES UOW Student Branch Chapter is organizing a field visit to Gullen Range Wind and Solar Farm on 30th of April 2019.
The Gullen Range Wind and Solar Farm near Crookwell at a drive of 2 hours from the University of Wollongong is the first large-scale co-located wind and solar farm in Australia with a capacity of 165.5 MW from 73 Wind Turbines and 10 MW from 42,000 solar panels. The solar farm produces approximately 22,000 megawatt-hours of clean renewable energy each year, which is enough energy to supply approximately 3,100 NSW homes. The wind farm is owned by New Gullen Range Wind Farm Pty. Ltd. (NGRWF), whose shareholder is BJCE (Beijing Jingneng Clean Energy Co., Ltd.)
IEEE student members and young professional members from all universities are welcome.
Cost is $10 and includes transport leaving the University of Wollongong and lunch.
