IEEE CIS MEMBERSHIP DRIVE
The IEEE CIS membership drive was held at Rajkiya Engineering College, Sonbhadra, Uttar Pradesh, India from August 30th, 2019 to August 31st, 2019 during International Conference on Computing Applications in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (ICCAEEE 2019).
The program started with welcome address by Prof. V. K. Giri, Director, Rajkiya Engineering College, Sonbhadra, Uttar Pradesh, India. Prof. Nishchal K. Verma, Chairman, CIS Chapter, IEEE UP Section (CIS11) & Professor, Dept. of Electrical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur, India gave introduction about IEEE and IEEE Computational Intelligence Society (CIS). He encouraged and motivated students for becoming the member of IEEE CIS community by highlighting the membership benefits. Around 80 participants including faculties, UG, and PG students have attended the event. The expert lecture was followed by an interactive session with executive committee members of CIS Chapter, IEEE UP Section (CIS11) where students asked their doubts and explored the possibilities of computational intelligence (CI) in their own work.
For membership drive, a booth was also set up at the venue to promote IEEE CIS membership and related activities.
