Workshop on Mechatronics and Micro-Mechatronics
A workshop on Mechatronics and Micro-Mechatronics was organized at MERCon 2019 under the technical co sponsorship of PES Sri Lanka Chapter. The integration of Mechanical engineering, Controls Engineering, Electronics Engineering and Computer engineering has lead the inception and development of the new multidisciplinary field of engineering discipline called Mechatronic. Currently, Mechatronics engineering has impregnated to the day-to-day engineering solutions, industrial machinery and high end engineering research. The researchers have the benefit of mastering Mechatronics engineering in performing the research tasks very much effectively and in a highly analytical way.
This workshop targets to give the participants an orientation to Mechatronics systems development and introduction to Micro Mechatronics. Hands-on experiences in sensing and actuating technologies, micro controller programming and virtual instrumentation could be obtained.
