IEEE CIS MEMBERSHIP DRIVE
IEEE UP Section CIS Chapter (CIS11) has successfully conducted an IEEE CIS membership drive during the 2017 International Conference on “Computational Intelligence: Theories, Applications, and Future Directions” at the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur, Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, India from December 6th-8th, 2017.
The program started with a welcome address by Prof. Nishchal K. Verma, Dept. of Electrical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur, India. He gave an introduction about the IEEE and the IEEE Computational Intelligence Society (CIS). He encouraged and motivated participants for becoming a member of the IEEE CIS community by highlighting the membership benefits. An interactive session with executive committee members of the IEEE UP Section CIS Chapter was organized where participants asked their doubts and explored the possibilities of computational intelligence (CI) in their own work.
For membership drive, a booth was also set up at the venue to promote IEEE CIS membership and related activities.
