Technical Interactive session with Alumni
The program started with a silent prayer. A brief introduction about the alumnae was given
to the students. First session was held by Prakash Bare. He completed BTech in Electrical
Engineering from NSS College of Engineering, Palakkad, Kerala.
He has held various technology and business positions in electronics design industry in the
US and India. He was a co-founder of GDA Technologies Inc, one of the pioneering Electronic
Design Services(EDS) companies. GDA, listed as one of the fastest-growing privately held
companies in US by Inc Magazine its annual INC500 list in 2002, was subsequently acquired by
Rambus Inc and L&T Technology Services in March 2007. He is currently involved with multiple
technology start-ups in India. He is also an Indian theater and film actor focusing
on Malayalam, English and other south Indian language productions.
The next session was taken by Lekha Balachandran. She started her Career in 1989 after
her B. Tech. in Civil engineering from Calicut University (NSS College of Engineering, Palakkad).
She is the Managing Partner of Resitech Electricals with 28 years of experience in Heavy
Engineering. “RESITECH” manufactures 11 KV distribution Transformers and HT Panels,
Current/Potential Transformers.
The alumni shared their journey from being mere students of NSSCE to the present
successful person. Their life experiences and the battles they fought to reach the present prestige
were very influensive. Mr. Prakash Bare voiced to step out from the crowd and stamp a unique
position in the world. While Smt. Latha Balachandran boosted women population to come forward
and take equal responsibilities as men. The talk was very inspiring and the interactive session
became more interesting by students asking questions about future opportunities.
