This two days workshop will be based on Design and Characterization of Microwave Components and Antennas. The resource persons/speakers will be from the industry and the faculty members from the ECE department, TIET who will guide you in hands-on training.

All enthusiasts persons eager to learn the designing of various microwave components and antennas can attend this workshop. This workshop will provide an opportunity for attendees to acquire the knowledge of the design of basic RF/microwave devices along with the guidance on fabrication and measurement.

TIET, Patiala is located at a distance of 55Km from Ambala Cantt Railway station which is well connected to almost all parts of India. Direct Taxi, Buses (AC & NON-AC), and Trains are available to reach Patiala from Ambala Cantt Railway station. Moreover, the nearest air connectivity to Patiala is Chandigarh Airport which is at a distance of 60 Km. Private taxi and buses are available from the airport to reach Patiala.

 Fundamentals of EM simulator CST Microwave Studio
 Designing of transmission lines (e.g. coaxial line, microstrip line, CPW line, etc.)
 Designing of Waveguide/Directional coupler/ power divider
 MIMO antennas and calculation of various diversity parameters
 SAR analysis of mobile phone antennas
 Metamaterial
 Metasurface based Microwave Absorbers
 Antennas for RFID application
 Fabrication and measurement
