[POSTPONED] Joint IEEE PES Benelux // CIGRE SC C2 workshop on Wide Area Measurement Systems
Dear Sir/Madam,
The health and safety of workshop participants and organizers is our top priority! Taking into account the COVID-19 related health and safety regulations issued by the Dutch government, we have decided to postpone the IEEE PES Benelux/CIGRE SC C2 workshop on WAMS that was scheduled for 18 May 2020.
We will continue to closely monitor the situation. A new date for the workshop, together with a valid registration link, will be communicated as soon as more information about guidelines from the relevant authorities becomes available.
Stay safe and healthy!
Sincerely,
Susana de Graaff (CIGRE SC C2 Chair – System Operations and Control)
Arjen van der Meer (IEEE Benelux PES/IES/PELS chapter secretary)
-------------------------------------
You are cordially invited to join us at the joint IEEE Benelux PES chapter // CIGRE SC C2 workshop on wide area measurement systems (WAMS) on May 18th, TenneT, Arnhem.
The energy transition can only be successful if the power system remains secure, stable, and affordable. Against the backdrop of the digital revolution and the increased installed capacity of power electronic interfaced generation, system operators are working on innovative solutions to keep the power system within its operational boundary conditions. Wide area measurement systems are a key enabler for advanced data acquisition, control and protection. In this workshop the current state-of-the-art in WAMS as well as the innovation challenges for the coming years will be discussed by experts from transmission system operators and universities.
