Optimal operation of Islanded microgrids is necessary inorder to reduce Generation cost, total emissions and voltage deviations. Certain uncertainities in load and generation in microgrid environment must be considered. Impact of wind site correlations on the optimal operation of the system could also be another uncertainity. The probabilistic multi-objective problem is solved using the multi-objective version of ant lion optimization algorithm in finding the optimal droop parameters of generators in islanded microgrid.

Biography:

Jithendranath. J received the B.Tech. degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from JNTU Hyderabad, India, in 2005, and the M.Tech. degree in Electrical Power Engineering in 2010 from JNTU Ananthapuramu, India. Recently, he submitted his Ph.D thesis at IIT Kharagpur, India in January 2020, worked under the supervision of Prof. Debapriya Das. Now he is currently working as Associate Professor in Department of EEE, at Global Academy of Technology, Bangalore from February, 2020. His research interests include planning and operational stragies of active distribution systems, islanded ac/dc microgrids, smart energy systems and heuristic multi-objective optimization algorithms.
