How to Start STEM Outreach Activities in Your Section
IEEE Educational Activities Board (EAB) supports Pre-University Education with the goal of providing quality pre-university-level educational resources for teachers, parents, students, IEEE volunteers, and the general public. They are continually enhancing their main resource - https://tryengineering.org/
IEEE Canada's related program has been recently renamed STEM Outreach to reflect the range of activities undertaken.
The Chair of IEEE Canada's STEM Outreach Committee, Murray MacDonald, will provide a brief overview of EAB's Pre-University Education program, describe some of Region 7's activities, demonstrate the TryEngineering website including the new Volunteer Portal, and then discuss how to start STEM Outreach activities in your section. After a Q&A session, Murray will lead an example of a hands-on STEM activity.
