IEEE NH Broadband Forum
The IEEE Broadband Forum is a free, virtual event addressing the challenges of providing broadband internet access to sparsely populated states such as New Hampshire. The forum will discuss the network technologies used and proposed for broadband access and address the technical and economic viability of each for urban, suburban, and rural areas.
The goals for the event are to provide attendees with (1) an understanding of the demographic and economic issues hampering wide deployment of broadband access; (2) the technology options currently proposed for delivering broadband; and (3) the status and outlook of state and federal programs to extend broadband access to unserved areas of New Hampshire.

Eric Burger
Eric Burger is Research Professor of Computer Science at Georgetown University. In addition to his tenure at Georgetown, he has completed several roles in government, including Assistant Director of the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, with the Communications and Cybersecurity portfolios; and Chief Technology Officer at the Federal Communications Commission. In both government roles, he focused on bringing broadband to underserved communities. More about Eric here and here.
Steve Camerino
Steve Camerino is President and Chief Executive Officer of New Hampshire Electric Cooperative (NHEC), founded in 1939 to bring electricity to rural New Hampshire. Now, NHEC is working to expand high speed internet service to its members. Before joining NHEC, Steve was a shareholder and director of McLane, Graf, Raulerson & Middleton, P.A., a regional New England law firm based in New Hampshire, where he worked for over 30 years. There, he represented New Hampshire and regional energy and utility clients and companies with interests in the energy industry.
Larry Press
Larry Press is a Professor Emeritus of Information Systems at California State University Dominguez Hills (CSUDH), where he teaches a class on the applications, implications, and technology of the internet. Larry has followed LEO satellite broadband projects since Teledesic — the first generation of LEO constellations — and has long studied and consulted on the internet in developing nations, with an emphasis on policy and technology. Larry shares many of his perspectives on his blog.
