Biography:
About the Speaker:
Bob Salter has worked with electrical power and electronics since elementary school in the early 1960s (vacuum tube era). Bob has worked in and around the electrical industry since graduating from Worcester Polytechnic Institute with a BS-EE in 1976. Bob received his MBA with concentration in Finance from San Francisco State University in 1981 and earned his PE (Electrical in the state of CA in 1994. Bob is a Life Senior Member of IEEE, has held various officer positions at chapter and section levels in SF and OEB Sections and is a past chair of SFBAC, as well as past secretary and current member of International Association of Electrical Inspectors.
Bob’s career includes 11 years at Bussmann, 7 years at Power Integrations (application of power semiconductors in power conversion), 10+ years at Eaton as a switchgear specialist, and 2-1/2 years as an engineering advisor at Equinix.
Bob was licensed as an Amateur Radio Extra Class radio operator in 2013.
