Low and Medium Voltage Soft Starters - Where to Use Them and Why

This presentation is an overview of the different types of motor soft starters - including Auto Transformer, Wye Delta, Part Winding, and Solid State. The presentation will focus on the advantages of solid state soft starters.


Jim is a Senior Business Development Manager for Medium Voltage Drives with Schneider Electric in Atlanta, GA. He has 40 years of experience in the electric motor control, protection, and distribution industry. Jim holds a Bachelor of Science in Busines Administration - Marketing from Colorado Tech and a MBA from Georgia College and State University.
