Welcome and Announcements: Chairman welcomed all the members present in the meeting.

Agenda Item #1: Ratification of minutes of the previous meeting.

Discussion: The minutes of the previous meeting were read by the Chairman and with the consent of members present in the meeting, the minutes were approved.

Agenda Item #2: Proposal to organize IEEE CIS Expert Lecture Series

Discussion: As per the discussion held in Agenda item #2 of the minutes of the meeting held on Dec 8^th, 2021, Chairman introduced that the fifth talk on Dec 17^th, 2021 during IEEE CIS Expert Lectures Series on Computational Intelligence will be delivered by Prof. Nishchal K. Verma, IIT Kanpur, India. The title of the talk was “Deep Learning and Artificial Intelligence”. The session was chaired by Prof. Vrijendra Singh, Chairman, CIS Chapter, IEEE UP Section (CIS11). Prof. Singh introduced the speaker and at the end of the talk, the session was concluded with a vote of thanks.

Action Item: The details of the talk will be made available on the chapter’s webpage and e-certificates will be issued to the attendees.

Agenda Item #3: Proposal to organize a contest/award for AI-based product development for helping the society and promoting the IEEE CIS

Discussion: As per the discussion held in Agenda item #3 of the minutes of the meeting held on Dec 16^th, 2021, Chairman put forth the further details and name of the proposal to organize a contest/award for the “Development of an Artificial Intelligence (AI) based Android App for awareness of COVID-19 with telemedicine facility to manage the pandemic fear among the Hindi speaking village people of UP state” to the members present in the meeting. Chairman requested the members to provide their suggestions to further publicize the contest/award.

Action Item: The contest will be posted on the chapter’s webpage and will be circulated among students, industry personnel, researchers, etc.

Agenda Item #4: Proposal to organize workshops/ conferences/ challenges/ hands-on

Discussion: As per the discussion held in Agenda item #2 of the minutes of the meeting held on Dec 13^th, 2021, Chairman appreciated the ideas received by Dr. Aparna Dixit. Further, Chairman requested Dr. Aparna Dixit to present a detailed proposal for organizing workshops/ conferences/ challenges/ hands-on in the next ExCom meeting.

Action Item: Dr. Aparna Dixit gave her consent to present a detailed proposal in the next ExCom meeting to be held on Dec 20^th, 2021.

The meeting was adjourned with a vote of thanks at 07:15 PM IST.
