Guido Schulze Guido Schulze of Rohde & Schwarz

Topic:

Testing HDMI 1.4b / 2.1 interfaces with oscilloscopes

This webinar is intended for engineers who work on high-speed digital design and tests. In particular, we will be focusing on HDMI 1.4b / 2.1 interfaces. After an overview of HDMI technology, we will be discussing testing for compliance to the standard, and signal integrity debugging. We will go into details on the test setup, clock test including timing and jitter, and data lane test covering single-ended and differential measurements. We will discuss possible actions when the compliance test fails; tools such as eye diagram analysis, jitter and noise decomposition, and TDR / TDT analysis can help to identify the causes. Practical examples and demonstrations illustrate HDMI testing made easy and reliable.

Biography:

Guido Schulze has more than 20 years of experience in high-speed digital testing. For the last ten years, he has worked as a product manager for the oscilloscope product division at Rohde & Schwarz. He specializes in high-end models and their respective applications.
