IEEE North Jersey Section AP/MTT and IEEE Pune Section AP/MTT/EMC Chapter 

A workshop was organized at Armament Research and Development Establishment (ARDE), Pune, held at Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Auditorium. Pashan, Pune on February 25, 2022. The full-day workshop had three sessions which included talks by experts on sensors for different Defense applications. Dr. BK Das, Director, Instrumentation Research and Development Laboratory (IRDE), Dehradun was the chief guest at the workshop and gave a talk on Modern Sensor Scenario. Prof. GS Mani, Chair, Joint Chapter of IEEE AP, MTT and EMC (JCAME), Pune section was a guest of honor at the inaugural function, he was felicitated for his contributions to Defense Research in the field of Antenna and Wireless Communication technologies over the past four decades shown in Figure (1). The program was attended by a large number of guests, including Dr. VV Rao, Director, ARDE, Dr. Smitha Nayak, a senior Defense scientist, Mandar Khurjekar of IEEE Pune Section, S. Deshmukh of Defense electronics Manufacturers Association (DEMA). Dr. Ajay Poddar, Chair IEEE AP-S CAC, and Chief Scientist, Synergy Microwave Corp., New Jersey interacted with attendees and IEEE Members, and also graced the occasion. Dr. Poddar interacted and engaged with IEEE Pune Section leadership and leader of DEMA for the AP-S Membership drives in research laboratories and local Engineering Collages for the professional networking and benefits of the local community, showed in Figure (2).
