Electrical Drawings and safety Practices
Electrically powered equipment can be dangerous to employees, especially if it is mistreated or neglected. Many electrical gadgets demand high voltage or high power, which increases the danger.
The basic idea of the discussion was that electrical safe practices are important, but they are mostly neglected due to lack of knowledge and enlightenment. In ordinary companies and residences, the voltage of the electricity and the available electrical current is powerful enough to cause death by electrocution. Even replacing a light bulb without disconnecting the lamp is dangerous because coming into contact with the "hot," "energized," or "live" section of the socket can be fatal.
Therefore IEEE PES NEDUET arranged the seminar to enlighten this topic with Mr. Ghazanfar, who is a BE and ME in electrical engineering and an MBA graduate as well. By using his expertise and prior knowledge he makes us abide by following main rules:
- Working with exposed conductors carrying 50 volts or more is not recommended.
- Ensure that all electrical equipment is properly connected, grounded, and functional.
- Extension cables should not be utilized as permanent wiring and should be discarded after a single activity or event.
- Surge suppressors with built-in circuit breakers may be used for a long time and come in chord lengths of three, six, and fifteen feet.
- Space heaters, portable air conditioners, and other high-amperage devices must be connected directly to permanent wall sockets.
Unless you are explicitly certified and permitted, do not enter, utilize, or change any building's electrical service, including circuit breaker panels.

Mr. Ghazanfar is currently serving in Byco petroleum Limited and he has completed his BE and ME in electrical engineering along with being an MBA graduate as well.
Agenda
Electrical Engineering is a field that entails you to be vigilant. You need to have a comprehensive understanding of the safety measurements while working in labs and outdoor fieldwork. Often, students are unaware of these safety precautions. For this very reason, IEEE PES NEDUET arranged a workshop on Electrical safeties.
The session ended with closing statements, “NO COMPROMISE IN SAFETY” and “RESPECT INCREASES LIFE”. The event was held in proper security by incorporating all COVID-19 SOPs.
