Parley or Prate
On 11th October 2022, to celebrate the occasion of IEEE Day, the IEEE Student Branch from Sri Sairam Institute of Technology organized an event “Parley or Prate”, which was a heated, technical debate regarding the influence of music in today’s era and the effect of automation in the future job market. The event was held in the Project Lab of Sri Sairam Engineering College, from 12pm-3pm, wherein the participants were split into two teams, for and against the motion. A heated debate then ensued, and the adjudicators, Ms. Kannagi L, from Sri Sairam Institute of Technology and Dr G. Shanmugasundaram, from Sri Sairam Engineering College judged the teams based on their contribution to the debate, their demeanor throughout and the language they chose to present in. The best performers were then felicitated with a certificate and a lucrative cash prize.
