The event begins with a brief professional organization housekeeping for all the members that attended, which includes updates on upcoming events for our members. Once that is done, the research panel begins. TCNJ full time ECE faculty were invited to give a brief introduction and discussion of the research they perform with students. TCNJ IEEE Student Members who are all involved in undergraduate research were invited to participate in a panel discussion to introduce the concept of research to underclassmen. Each student explained the lab where they work and break down one of their projects that is currently being worked on. Due to the fact that undergraduate research is a very uncommon opportunity, we want to allow these members to learn about the different ways they can get involved and what they would be getting involved with. There are a lot of ways to get involved with a lot of different professors, so it is important to allow the future engineers to have as many tools at their disposal as possible.
