Presentation of results of an ongoing mentoring project at the High School level.

Discussion of high school student experiences and learning as they explored projects related to how health literacy may impact personal choices in healthcare, especially as related to informational decision-making about influenza vaccinations.  The presentation will provide insights into what the student's learned as they delved into the mechanics of communications and the relationship with health literacy.  Specific topics include structure of written communications, measurement of readability, and information trustworthiness in social media applications.
