Eric Tran will provide an overview of FlightAware and the technology behind flight-tracking.  He will give a breakdown of the FlightAware flight tracking receiver hardware, PiAware and FlightFeeder, and the software that powers them.  You will also learn the ways that FlightAware can help with disaster recovery efforts.

Biography:

Eric is a Senior Software Engineer specializing in IoT and embedded software.  He has been a part of the FlightAware team for 5 years working on the ADS-B team that builds out their world-wide network of flight tracking receivers.  He enjoys teaching, traveling the world, and playing golf in his free time.
