#5 Build Yourself - Leadership Talk
Leadership is the ability to guide others without force into a direction or decision that leaves them still feeling empowered and accomplished. In today’s world, we are required to make a lot of decisions on anything of importance, and we must embrace the qualities of leadership to truly know how it is to take charge of matters, guide others and learn valuable things from experience. Owing to the importance of leadership in today’s era, in this iteration of the ForBy Series hosted by the IEEE Student Branch of Sri Sairam Institute of Technology, “Build Yourself – Leadership Talk” was held on Saturday, 24th December 2022, at 7:30pm – 8:30pm, open to students who are willing to learn leadership traits. The guest speaker, Sri Ranjani Chellam M, is a sophomore student of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, from Sri Sairam Institute of Technology, who was presented with the 2022 GELP Global Leadership Award in November 2022. The event started off with a welcome address from Nandini L, 2nd Year IT, Sri Sairam Institute of Technology, followed by the guest speaker discussing her experiences with GELP, how she went on to acquire such traits, shared a PowerPoint, elaborating on how one can improve themselves. Afterwards, the mic was passed to the audience, whose insightful questions helped everyone learn more, and Nandini concluded the event with a Vote of Thanks. The event was attended by more than 100 people and Dr G.Saritha, the IEEE SB Counselor presided over the event.
