Roadmap to Uber She++

IEEE IGDTUW conducted an informative and instructive session on the 'Uber She++' program,
which took place on 14th Feb 2023. The session saw an immense response for 140+ students
with 50+ being IEEE members.
The featured guest speakers for the session were Sonanshi Goel, an upcoming SWE intern at
Microsoft, an UberSTAR intern and an Uber She++ winner, and Chaynika Arora, an upcoming
SWE intern at Uber, who has also cracked LinkedIn Coachin' 22 and has been an UberSTAR
intern and Uber She++ winner.
The session was aimed to discuss the requirements for eligibility, the application process, the
timeline, the perks of the Uber She++ program, and the Uber Star intern process.
Second-year B.Tech students, third-year students with a dual degree, female students, and
students with disabilities are among those who meet the program's eligibility requirements.
The application process involves filling out the Uber She++ registration form provided by the
college, followed by selecting the top 75 candidates who are shortlisted on the basis of their
resumes. These candidates are also given a direct interview opportunity for the UberSTAR
internship.
The timeline for the Uber She++ program starts in February and the results are announced in
the same month. The selected candidates are given the opportunity to attend the two-day event,
which takes place in late March.
Further, the UberSTAR application form is also released around the end of April and the
interview results are revealed in May.
The perks of being a part of the program included an opportunity to attend the conference held
by Uber and network with Uber women leaders, a direct interview opportunity for She++ selects
for the third-year internship when Uber comes on campus. The other benefits were, an
opportunity to interview for the Uber star internship and a return offer for the third-year internship
if you clear the interview round.
The session was a success and the speakers were the guiding light as they answered several
queries related to the Uber She++ program and shared their personal insights and guidance to
help the students in their career journey.
