The Use of Mathcad Software for Solving Typical Engineering Problems in Electrical Drives (PART II)

This presentation will contain application of Mathcad Software for solving advanced engineering problems in electrical drives: starting and stopping of electrical drives with flywheel, electrical motor starting with different load characteristics, electrical lifting drives starting, selection of motors and frequency converters for lifting drives with regenerative braking. Optimization of PI regulator parameters in electrical drives, IR compensation in frequency converters for different load characteristics, and determination of possible number of starting cycles depending on motor temperature.

Biography:

Jovan Radaković graduated from the Faculty of Technical Sciences in Novi Sad in 1977, and received his master's degree from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Belgrade in 1984. In the period 1979-2009. he worked at the SEVER factory, Subotica, on the application and development of electric drives in the country and abroad. In addition to his management positions in the fields of development of electrical drives, Mr. Radaković also worked as a lecturer at the Faculty of Technical Sciences in Novi Sad and the Higher Electrical Engineering School in Subotica, where he was a mentor for more than 120 graduate thesis. In the period 2009-2018, he worked at ED "Subotica", and since the beginning of 2019 he is retired.
