IMPERIUM-An event organized for women on the occasion of Women’s Day
WOMEN'S DAY CELEBRATION 2023
On March 9th, 2023, in celebration of International Women's Day, a seminar was organized by IEEE SIESGST student chapter Women in Engineering (WiE) at SIESGST college to empower and inspire women in Engineering to take entrepreneurship. The seminar featured three successful female entrepreneurs as panelists who shared their experiences, challenges, and successes in their respective industries. Over 100 Students attended the seminar.
The seminar commenced with an opening speech by the event organizer Mr. Chinmay Gawas, highlighting the significance of International Women's Day and the need for gender equality in entrepreneurship. The three Panelists were Jaya Janardhan, Sonia Dubey Dewan; Dr. Vidhi Bhanushali. The panelists shared their journey of becoming an entrepreneur and problems they while pursuing it. They emphasized the importance of passion, resilience, and continuous learning in entrepreneurship. They also shared their experiences of overcoming gender biases and societal expectations as a woman entrepreneur.
The panelists also answered questions from the audience, which ranged from funding challenges, work-life balance, overcoming gender discrimination, and building a strong support system. The discussion was engaging, informative, and inspiring, with the panelists sharing valuable insights and advice for aspiring women entrepreneurs.
The seminar concluded after an hour with a closing speech by the event organizer, highlighting the importance of women's participation in entrepreneurship and the need for gender-inclusive policies and support systems. The participants left the seminar feeling motivated, empowered, and inspired by the stories and experiences shared by the panelists.
