This is a joint meeting of the Canadian Society of Senior Engineers and IEEE Life Members.

The June meeting of the Edmonton Chapter of CSSE will be held on Thursday 2023-Jun-15. The Meeting will open at 12:30 pm (Mountain Time) (2:30 PM EDT), with the presentation starting at 12:45. The meeting will be held via the Zoom platform, with the actual invitations sent the afternoon of Wednesday 2023-Jun-14. As an EV owner and utility engineer with a career focus on electric vehicles, William will be presenting on the environmental impacts of electrified transportation, the utility impacts as well as the personal testimony of his ownership experience.
An electric vehicle owner since 2018, William has travelled more than 90,000 pure electric kilometres.

Biography:

William York is a professional engineer with a degree in electrical engineering from the University of Alberta. He has worked for almost a decade in the electric utility sector and currently works as a senior engineer with ATCO. William is also on the board of Directors of the Electric Vehicle Association of Alberta https://www.albertaev.ca/. An electric vehicle owner since 2018, William has travelled more than 90,000 pure electric kilometres.
