Working Effectively...Apart and Weigh-in=Buy-in!

Working Effectively...Apart!

According to Lynda Gratton and Tammy Johns, The Third Wave of Virtual Work, in the next few years, 1.3 billion people will work virtually.  Working collaboratively is difficult when colleagues are sitting across the room from one another.  When they are half-way around the world, it takes teamwork to another dimension.  In this workshop, participants will:

•Review the Five Dysfunctions of a Team (Patrick Lencioni)

•Explore the benefits & challenges of working with remote colleagues

•Discuss how to establish virtual team norms & expectations

•Identify how to build trust & stay connected

•Examine how to make virtual meetings more productive & engaging

•Describe how to communicate with clarity using the appropriate technology

•Discuss how to resolve conflict & build commitment working virtually

Weigh-in=Buy-in!

In this workshop, participants will examine practical techniques for building a robust environment for healthy group conflict. We will discuss the role of the facilitator and participants in creating a safe environment where all ideas and opinions are heard, considered and understood. Weigh-in = Buy-in!

Participants will also learn innovative ways to test for buy-in and consensus in a group. Practical tools and techniques are provided to overcome common team decision making challenges like conventional thinking, groupthink, power struggles, competitiveness and conflict avoidance.

Agile 101 is a highly interactive review of Agile and Scrum.   We will dive into the scrum roles and framework that allows a team to focus of the needs of the business and get the highest priority work done first.  Attendees will be moving, interacting and teaching each other in fun and meaningful ways.

Scrumbanolopy and Agile Coffee in the afternoon. Terri will be joined by Michael Weber, Wendy Orth, Jerry Jensen and Jim Sproul, all form

Scrumbanopoly we will learn about new ways of conducting agile meetings.  We will finish up the afternoon with an Agile Coffee
