Biography:
Ambrose (Sunny) Okorie, PhD, PMP is currently the principal - Managing Consultant at SolidRock International (SRI) since Jan 2011. SRI is a high tech multi-disciplinary Consulting providing technical support for business transformations with expertise in Artificial Intelligence (AI), data analytics, bioinformatics, deep learning, ; Information Security. He built “TROPIX-MED” a medical expert system for tropical disease diagnoses, and other related research work that led to some 15 mainstream journal publications. Dr. Okorie was formerly an IT Project Manager ; Senior Analyst at Shell Oil Company in Houston Texas where he delivered many successful global ; regional projects in the Oil ; Gas sector.
During his tenure with Shell, Dr. Okorie was responsible for a few critical business systems that support over 2400 Gas Stations; provide Biometric security for access control into 24 Offshore / Onshore Terminals in the USA and Hawaii; and for validating user access to IT resources and compliance globally. Prior to joining Shell Oil Products in 1999, Dr. Okorie was KM (Knowledge Management) Consultant with Inference (eGain.com) where he also helped delivery projects to over a dozen fortune 500 companies including Dell, AOL, Gateway Computers, and others.
Before returning to the USA in the mid-90s, he was an academic for 12 years at the Federal University of Technology, Owerri in Nigeria where he helped develop and bring accreditation to the Computer Engineering program. He has earned B.S. ; MS. degrees from Portland State Univ. ;the Univ. of Portland, Oregon, respectively, and a Ph.D. in Computer Engr. from Federal Univ. of Technology, Owerri – Nigeria, with bench work at the USL, La Fayette, LA. https://www.linkedin.com/in/asokorie
