IEEE Sustainable Energy Designs
Join us for a session on Sustainable Energy Designs with Yasha Ogg
"Sustainable Energy Designs - Find out how your home can have solar, wind, fuel cells, and/or battery backup. Capture the rainwater for use in home. Heat pumps what are they and why they may be a better alternative than HVAC (Heating ventilation Air Conditioning). Triple pane windows, LED lighting, ASRAE standards, Solar ready, and geothermal systems for the home. Help locally with carbon reduction, lowering GHG (Green House Gases), building resiliency into your home (during power outages your lights stay on), energy efficient devices, and Net metering (sell power back to your Utility company). What is a community Microgrid?" Overview of how to go through a process when designing a new building on how to minimize the amount of resources needed while maximizing health and comfort and using microgrids as a way to increase resiliency.
