This report provides an overview of the “Ideation Competition (All Kerala)” planning to organize in collaboration with multiple IEEE Student Branch (SB) Chapters of NSSCE . The competition aims to foster innovation, creativity, and collaboration among participants from across Kerala. This report outlines the event details, phases, and objectives.

Event Overview:
The Ideation Competition (All Kerala) is a joint initiative undertaken by IEEE SB NSSCE and it’s  several  SBC’s  IEEE PES SBC NSSCE, IEEE PELS SBC NSSCE, IEEE IAS SBC NSSCE, IEEE IES SBC NSSCE, IEEE EDSOC SBC NSSCE and IEEE SIGHT AG NSSCE  This collaboration reflects the commitment of these chapters to promoting technological innovation and ideation.

Event Phases:
The competition comprises two distinct phases:

Phase 1: Calling Project Ideas
In this phase, participants from various institutions across Kerala are invited to submit their innovative project ideas. The scope of these ideas covers a wide range of technological and societal challenges. Participants are encouraged to think creatively and propose ideas that address real-world problems. This phase serves as the foundation for the subsequent stages of the competition.

Phase 2: Selecting Best Ideas and Offline Presentation
During this phase, the submitted project ideas are rigorously evaluated by a selection committee consisting of experts from relevant fields. The evaluation process considers factors such as innovation, feasibility, potential impact, and alignment with the competition’s theme. Participants with the most promising ideas are shortlisted to proceed to the next stage. As a part of this phase, a nominal registration fee is introduced to ensure the commitment of participants. The collected registration fees contribute to the prize pool, which incentivizes participants to showcase their best work. Shortlisted participants are then invited to deliver offline presentations to the selection committee, highlighting their project’s significance and feasibility.

Funding and Implementation:
Following the selection of the best project ideas, these projects are given the opportunity to apply for funding. The funding application process involves presenting a detailed plan for project implementation, resource allocation, and expected outcomes. Projects that demonstrate potential for societal impact, technical innovation, and feasibility are considered for funding approval. Once approved, the selected projects embark on the implementation phase, wherein they receive the necessary resources and support to turn their ideas into reality. This stage involves close collaboration between the project teams and the organizing IEEE SB Chapters. The meet was attended by the Execom members of all collaborative Chapters.
