Integration Day
The Freshmen Integration Day was a remarkable event that marked the beginning of an exciting journey for both our incoming freshmen and the Women in Engineering (WIE) Affinity Group. This day was all about extending a warm and inviting welcome to the newest members of our academic community, while introducing them to the fantastic opportunities offered by our WIE Affinity Group.
It commenced at 1:30 pm with an engaging and informative presentation by members of the WIE Affinity Group, taking place in front of the entire freshman class. The presentation provided valuable insights into the mission, vision, and activities of the group. It was a moment to inspire and empower the freshmen, particularly those interested in engineering, by highlighting the significance of diversity and inclusion in the field.
Following the presentation, from 3 pm to 5 pm, the WIE Affinity Group hosted an interactive booth in the bustling hall of the SupCom building. The booth was a vibrant hub of activity, with members of the group eagerly waiting to answer questions and engage in discussions with the freshmen.
