THE IMPORTANCE OF POWER QUALITY IN TODAY’S ELECTRIC INFRASTRUCTURE
Power quality is an important topic in modern power systems as it impacts not only the producer and consumer of electricity, but also the grid operator. Power quality phenomena have received special attention in recent times due to unprecedented renewable penetration observed in high, medium and low voltage networks. Further, unconventional consumers such as large-scale industrial consumers, electric vehicle chargers and data centers are now sharing the utility space. This presentation covers different areas dealing with power quality analysis, fault issues, power quality in charging infrastructure and advancements of power quality innovation.
