Biography:

Dr. Ayan Mondal is an Assistant Professor at the Indian Institute of Technology Indore, India. Prior to this, he was a Postdoctoral Research Engineer at Univ Rennes, Inria, CNRS, IRISA, France. He received his Ph.D. degree from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, India, in 2020. His Ph.D. thesis is entitled "Traffic Engineering in Software-Defined Data Center Networks for IoT". He also received his Master of Science (by Research) (M.S.) degree from the School of Information Technology, Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, India, in 2015. His M.S. Thesis is entitled "Distributed Energy Management in Smart Grid". He received his Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from St. Thomas' College of Engineering and Technology, Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (Formerly known as West Bengal University of Technology), India in 2012. He is also a member of IEEE and ACM.

 

His current research interests include algorithm design for Data Center Networks, Software-Defined Networks, Sensor-Cloud, Edge/Fog Networks, Smart Grid, and Wireless Ad-Hoc and Sensor Networks. He is a member of Myriads research team at Inria/IRISA, Rennes, France. He is also a former member of Smart Wireless Applications & Networking (SWAN) Research Group, Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur.
