IEEE Mysore Subsection Execom Meet

Minutes of the Meeting:
- Execom members were welcomed by Dr Sudarshan, Chair
- Papers are being reviewed, once completed we will be sending acceptance notification.
- Need to plan for the event, guests etc. Dr Sudarshan has shared the roles and responsibility email with the Host institution.
- Meet and discuss the plan with the Host once and get the confirmation with the letter head. - Dr Bindu
- Get the formal MoU between the host and the subsection - Dr Chengappa
- Dr Paramameshachari is in touch with one international speaker and the rest of the invitees will be from the Host side.
- Speaker proposals are welcome.
- Conference proceedings need to be prepared. Sub-section is responsible to provide the abstracts to the Host.
- We will shortly have a call with the Host and check if they can sponsor the speakers. - Dr Sudarshan.
- Program schedule will be handled/supported by Dr Ravichandra.
- Dr Parameshachari, Dr Bindu and Dr Chengappa were part of slate committee 2024. Requesting Dr Parameshachari to share the newly elected team members by replying to this email.
- Mysore Subsection SSR to be added as the Execom member so that they are aware of the happenings.
- The subsection rebate is low because of the discrepancy in the database. Hence, requesting the 2024 Execom to keep an eye on this.
- Aniridh is going to follow up with MGA regularly to get this sorted.
- IEEE CS Chapter is planning to host an event GirlGeekHack in collaboration with Subsection and will be held on 8 and 9th Dec 2023 at VVCE, Mysore. And the theme is - Security
- Expecting more than 150+ teams. Dr Ram is requesting sponsorship from Subsection. Dr Sudarshan along with Treasurer will analyse how this event can be supported.
