IEEE WIE Meet and Greet Program 2023
IEEE WIE Meet and Greet Program 2023 was held on 16th October 2023 in IIITA in association with IEEE WIE UP Section and IEEE UP Section from 9:00AM IST onwards. It focussed on networking, training and capacity building in order to connect WIE members, volunteers, and enthusiasts with one another.
Event was hosted by Dr Sweta Tripathi, IEEE WIE Chair Uttar Pradesh Section India. It was the hybrid event. Keynote Speakers include Prof. Celia Shahnaz (2023-24 IEEE WIE Committee Chair), shared resources of WIE for capacity building and methodology of writing good proposal. Raisa Fabiha (Chair-WIE Richmond Section, Co-Chair WIE Subcommittee on Regional Activities) shared R10 activities of importance along with the best practices. Thereafter, Prof SN Singh (ABV-IIITM Director, Adviser IEEE UP Section) gave motivating speech on Women and STEM Research. His talk was full of innovative ideas. Prof Satish Kumar (IEEE UP Section Chair) highlighted the efforts of IEEE UP Section. Sudeshana Chaudhary (R10 WIE India Council Chair), Mini Unnat (Past WIE IC Chair), K C Mishra, Prabhakar Tiwari, MA Ansari and other IEEE ExCom members UP Section, various entrepreneurs, and leading ladies at home and well as professionally, brought their own very real experience to the table. Various WIE Chairs and members shared about their best practices and challenges. They also guided attendees how global and regional WIE can help them.
Other keynote session speakers mentored and supported includes Sandhya Srivastava (CEO & Co-Founder-ARS VED Pvt. Ltd); Dr. Deepika Singh (Director and CEO DK Rakshak Pvt. Ltd.), Ms. Shweta Berry, Director Marketing & Head of Strategic Alliances, Noida, India, Indra Preet Kaur (Director, IGEN EDU Solutions Young India start-up), Dr. Aparna Dixit (Dean PSIT , Kanpur), WIE Chairs and other women leaders form other sections of India also joined the event.
Discussions were engaging based on strategic planning of the events, networking opportunities and academic collaborations.
