Biography:
Walt Slade graduated in 1979 from CU Boulder. He worked 7 years in Tri-State G&T engineering departments in Denver, primarily doing protective relaying, then spent two years teaching in a Christian school in Central America. He worked for 12 years at United Power REA in Brighton, CO doing operations and design engineering until 2000. He has been a utility equipment sales representative with KD Johnson, Inc. since then, covering the electric power market in Colorado. One of his several manufacturers is Schweitzer Engineering Labs. Walt is co-inventor of the “PhaseTrakker” device that does electrical phase identification on power systems. It is being sold across the U.S. and Canada.
